World Book Day Celebrations

Pupils and staff at our school had a fantastic time celebrating this year’s World Book Day!

This year's World Book Day was filled with fun and excitement as children took part in a range of activities to celebrate their love of reading. One of the highlights was our “Book in a Jar” competition, where pupils creatively decorated the inside of jars to represent their favourite books. We were amazed by the imagination and effort shown by everyone.

We also held a “Get Caught Reading” competition, where pupils were spotted reading in unusual and funny places. This brought lots of laughter and encouraged everyone to pick up a book!

Throughout the week, pupils enjoyed inspiring author talks, where they learned more about storytelling and what it’s like to be a writer. It was a wonderful opportunity to spark creativity and enthusiasm for reading.

Of course, one of the most exciting parts of the day was dressing up. The school was full of wizards, superheroes, animals, and storybook heroes, making it a truly magical experience.

It was a joyful celebration, and both pupils and staff had a brilliant time sharing their love of books. We are so proud of everyone for taking part and making World Book Day so special!

We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
