Our school community has plenty to celebrate this week after 28 dedicated staff members completed a sponsored walk on Sunday 17 May, trekking from Hungerford to Thatcham to raise money for our Playground Improvement Fund.

What began as a fundraising idea quickly turned into a heart‑warming display of teamwork, determination, and community spirit. The goal: to help enhance our playground facilities and create an even better space for our children to play, explore, and thrive.

So far, the walk has raised over £2,800, with donations still coming in. Every pound brings us closer to transforming the playground into a more engaging, inclusive, and exciting environment for all pupils.

The staff who took part gave up their Sunday to support the cause, and the atmosphere on the walk was full of laughter, encouragement, and plenty of time to catch up outside the busy school week. Their commitment has made a real difference, and we couldn’t be prouder.
