Francis Baily Primary School Celebrates Positive Ofsted Progress
Francis Baily Primary School is celebrating strong progress following its May 2026 Ofsted inspection, with inspectors recognising the substantial improvements made under new leadership. The report praises the school’s welcoming environment, ambitious vision and clear strategic direction, alongside notable strengths in early years provision, behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion.
Inspectors highlighted the school’s broad curriculum, positive attitudes to learning and the aspirational leadership driving rapid improvement. They also identified key priorities for further development, including strengthening consistency in teaching, raising outcomes in writing and maths, embedding curriculum changes and improving attendance.
School leaders and the Trust have welcomed the findings, emphasising the dedication of staff, pupils and the wider community, and reaffirming their commitment to continued improvement.
