Homework
At Francis Baily, we believe regular homework supports your child’s learning, fosters links between home and school life, helps to promote your child’s self-discipline and independence in learning, as well as helping to establish good working habits. Small amounts of homework will be sent home and the quantity increases with age.
Typical homework activities include:
- Regular reading (recommended daily)
- Timestables Rockstars (recommended daily)
- Spelling Shed (Key Stage 2)
- Floppy's Phonics (Key Stage 1)
- My Maths
We aim to ensure that there is a progression in both the type and quantity of homework through the school. Guidelines and timetables will be sent home at the start of each academic year, and each child is provided with a home/school diary.
