PTA
Welcome to the PTA section of our website. The PTA is a registered charity (registered with the charity commission for England and Wales – No.1026341) and run by a group of parent volunteers who give their time to create better learning experiences for our children. As well as raising much needed funds that improve our school, the social events run by the PTA bring the whole school community together.
Make a Difference
As well as fundraising, the PTA organise events which add so much to our children’s school experience. The PTA organise school discos, Christmas and Summer Fairs and the very popular Gift Rooms to name but a few. This creates a real sense of community and benefits the children.
Second-hand Uniform Shop
The PTA runs a very successful second-hand uniform shop where you can find all items needed for the school day as well as a few extras such as Brownie and Scouts uniforms too. You can purchase items online by visiting our website.
We’re happy to take donations of any unwanted items too including coats, shoes, trainers, Christmas jumpers, as well as all guiding and scout uniforms.
Class Representatives
Every class in the school has a PTA Class Representative, who is a direct link between the school community and the PTA Trustees. Every class also has a group message chat, either on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. Make sure you know who your Class Rep is and also get involved in the PTA chat with other parents in your child’s class. It’s a great way to get to know the other parents in your class and also keep abreast of the events and activities coming up.
Get Involved
Every parent or member of staff at the school, is automatically a member of the PTA.
But if you would like to do more then there are several ways you can get involved:
- Come to a meeting and share your thoughts and ideas. All meetings are held online via Teams and the AGM is held once a year in person. We have six meetings a year (one every half term), plus the AGM in the Autumn Term, There is an open invitation to everyone for each meeting.
- Volunteer to help out at an event. We hold lots of different events through the year and every little helps. Whatever time you can give is gratefully received.
- Share a donation of yours with the PTA, perhaps you have some books or school clothes that need a new home.
